Please click here to report any new scams or any missed links.
It is preferred that scams are forwarded in whole if possible.
All reference to the original receiver of the email will be removed but, if you prefer to do this yourself, that is okay.

** THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT **

DO NOT ACCEPT ANY PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS PURPORTING TO BE FROM MICROSOFT CLAIMING YOU HAVE VIRUSES ON YOUR COMPUTER AND THAT YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET RID OF THEM,
EVEN IF THEY MENTION YOUR SURNAME  ..
THEY ARE JUST SCAMMERS TRYING TO GET CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER, YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS, OR YOUR BANKING DETAILS ..
DO NOT ACCEPT ANY PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS PURPORTING TO BE FROM YOUR COUNTRY'S TAX DEPARTMENT GIVING THREATS OF HEAVY FINES OR JAIL TIME, EVEN IF THEY MENTION YOUR NAME ..
THEY ARE JUST MORE SCAMMERS TRYING TO GET MONEY FROM YOU ..
NO KNOWN TAX DEPARTMENT WOULD CONTACT YOU IN THIS WAY AND WOULD CERTAINLY NOT CONTACT YOU ABOUT ANY TYPE OF PAYMENT UNLESS YOU ARE ACTUALLY IN THEIR PREMISES AND THEY HAVE GUARANTEED THEY ARE TALKING TO THE RIGHT PERSON/S FIRST ..

Be wary of sites promising winnings from lotteries you have never entered, refunds on monies you had never paid in the first place, and other money that seems to come from heaven ..
Be wary of sites promising to send you money from unknown dead relatives, princes trying to unload or relocate some of their wealth, and "people" trying to get you to invest into deals that seem to good to be true (because they will be) ..
You get the idea ..
A good set of scam reports can be found on Jim Browning sites and on his YouTube videos ..

It always pays to be suspicious when : "business" emails do not have a proper letterhead, are not directed
to you specifically, have referenced addresses that are generic such as from yahoo, gmail, hotmail or gmx accounts, and have no reference to a name or telephone number of the person who sent the letter ..

If you are in doubt about an email, whether it be an offer or final notice, just hover the mouse pointer
over any (and if possible, ALL) of the links that are listed in the email to see exactly where they are going to take you ..
**  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CLICK THE MOUSE BUTTON WHILE DOING THIS  **
If the link that shows up while the mouse pointer is over the printed link is NOT the same as the listed link
and it is NOT where you want to go, then DO NOT USE THAT LINK ..

There has been an increase in the number of email scams recently that say your data has been accessed and that you will have all your private details (including pornographic sites you have visited) leaked to all your contacts you have in your email and or SMS address book ..
DO NOT REPLY TO THESE EMAILS IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER ..
Even those that pretend to have accessed you cameras and seen what you have supposedly been up to ..
DON'T BE FOOLED ..  IT IS PURE RUBBISH ..
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO REPORT THESE RATBAGS TO YOUR COUNTRY'S SCAM WATCH DEPARTMENTS,
YOU MAY JUST SAVE YOURSELF AND  SOME OTHER PEOPLE FROM LOSING A LOAD OF MONEY, OR AT THE VERY LEAST, PRECIOUS DATA FROM YOUR COMPUTER/S ..
Some scamwatch sites links have been included on the left off this screen ..
IF you feel unsure about using these links or if your country is not represented there, please search the internet for scam watch sites yourself but PLEASE report the scams and scammers you have been approached by or been in contact with ..
In some cases you may also even be able to get some or all of your money back ..

The first thing to observe is that there is NO person, member, or account number addressed in the correspondence ..
Be VERY careful of the following link as it will cause you trouble : "
See your monthly bill here. " ..  It will take you to a site you don't want to go to ..

You can click on the picture below if you want to make the copy larger ..

The following is an example of a truly stupid con ..
The first thing to observe is that there is NO person addressed in the correspondence ..
It is a generic form letter
that is out to grab somebody who is either very greedy, very needy, or just plain gullible ..
Of course there is no money for you to make out of this transaction ..  It is purely to get your bank details and help THEM to get richer from YOUR bank account ..

The following is an example of a ransomware email that is becoming more prevalent ..
The first thing to observe in this case is that the password that was quoted was over 2 years old and no longer relevant ..
This indicated that the data had been obtained either from a hack into an off site business a few years back that had that information, or the information had accidentally been sent to a site that was dubious from the start ..
Yes, somebody has been told off ..
Be careful what sites you sign up to ..
The second mistake this nitwit made was the Cisco router vulnerability ..  We have NO Cisco routers in our system so that could be ignored ..
Next was the idea that he had installed a malicious code onto the computer that would allow him access at any time ..
The computer in question was (and still is) always being checked for spyware, trojans, viruses and unwanted installed programs so it would have been VERY difficult for him to have installed ANY suspicious programs ..
THER ARE NO CAMERAS INSTALLED ON ANY OF THE COMPUTERS ..  If the scammers were not so greedy and lazy they should have checked that out first
[ if they could have :) ] ..
As we own our own domain sites we can block these idiotic emails at will ..
We let quite a few through to our email accounts beforehand so we could report them to Scamwatch in our country ..  I hope it helped SOMEBODY ..

Anyway ..  Be careful and DON'T get conned into their web of deceit ..

As always, you can click on the picture below if you want a clearer copy ..

The following is an example of a scam pop-up that may appear on your browser ..
It is NOT from Microsoft and you should NEVER enter any details ..
Remember. Scammers are nearly ALWAYS just trying to get money from you in ANY way possible ..
DON'T play their game ..
It may be accompanied by a loud annoying overlaying voice which you should turn down or mute so you can think more clearly ..
If you can't turn off that page then just turn off your computer and disconnect from the internet until you know exactly how to proceed to get rid of the message ..
I recommend you find information on the internet about this scam and how to handle it NOW before such a pop up occurs
, to save yourself grief later on, especially if you do a lot of web browsing as you may have trouble getting back into your browser once this crap has appeared on your screen ..
If necessary, use a friend's or a library's uncompromised computer to get the information ..

As always, you can click on the picture below if you want a clearer copy ..
